Spray and go.....

So today, I sit looking out of my window at home. To view what they tell me is the start of Autumn, and think...really? Where has Summer gone? In truth it does feel like Autumn is fast approaching.
Admittedly the socks have crept out of the draw a few times lately, and the snug rug that I have been known to wrap myself in, has comforted me on a few chilly nights recently.

So, if you, like me, have had your Summer sunshine and are vastly wondering where has my golden glow gone? Or, have sadly not been able to feel much of a Summer sunshine on your skin. This blog will make you feel a whole heap better. Promise!

But not just in the sense of looking golden and brown naturally. But all those lumps and bumps you hate on your body will seem to disappear like....poof! Magic! Yes.....we have all got body hang ups ladies. Guys too....they just seem to be a bit slower admitting to them than us ladies.

So its a tan and magic in a can. Yep that's right a must have tonic on this cold autumn day.

Sienna X " Express yourself tanning mist" in a can says goodbye to all those worries you may have had previously with self tans. Its shiney, silver can makes it non gender lead. Plus, easy to carry around in your handbags or man bags.

The coconut smell will instantly make you feel you are on an island with the hot sun shining down on you. Or better still, the sun and a cocktail in your hand!

As this is all about achieving a golden tan, naturally, and lets face it, realistically. This is so easy to apply as its in an aerosol can, and tinted so you really cant go wrong. You can instantly see the guide colour coming out onto your skin. making you feel in control of the areas you wish to direct this lovely product.

Now, my hang ups are my legs. They just aren't long enough in my opinion and take far too long to tan. So I tried this product out firstly on my legs as I like to put things through their paces.

When I first tried this product in my bathroom, I stupidly didn't put anything down on the floor. So my first hint would be to place a dark towel on the floor. I also blended in the product in with my hands. Which is absolutely fine. But REMEMBER to wash your hands immediately after applying, otherwise they will have a golden tan as well.

Personally I would recommend a lovely soft, tanning mitt which is made from a towelling material so it feels soft and fluffy. Its easy to wash, and therefore makes it cost effective so you can reuse it. More importantly, it will protect your hands from getting product on them

Shake the can up, get your leg at the ready, or any other part of your body you may wish to tan. Begin spraying. You will see the product coming out onto the skin. I generally work in smaller areas at one time. that way I feel more in control. Once you have completed that area. Get your tanning mitt at the ready and begin gently buffing the product into the skin until it has been absorbed. Continue until you have applied it to all the area you wish to cover.

Simple.

I would easily say this can at 150ml will cover 4 full bodies ( depending on size, as recommended on http://www.sienna-x.co.uk/ ).

The colour that you see when spraying is the guide colour, so you can see where it is you have sprayed and covered. This colour will develop over a period of 2-4 hours to give you a truly gorgeous natural tan.

Great product I found for topping up an existing tan and retouching areas that fade faster such as hands and face. It can also be customised by applying a second coat if you want a darker shade.

Great Christmas or birthday present. Who wouldn't want the benefits of a safe, natural, easy to apply tan. With great colour achieved in just 2 hours?

But theres more. More I hear you cry! Its so cost effective that not only will it be better for your skin than the damaging U.V rays, will make your lumps and bumps disappear like....Poof! It costs just £14.95 a can. Amazing.

Fake Tanning: Manual V Spray

Firstly, just to clarify the differences between the two types of fake tanning. Manual tanning is applied directly onto and into the skin that has been prepared usually in a cream or lotion format and then is allowed to develop.Spray tan is applied using a compressor type air gun and is applied in a very fine mist in a liquid format and sits onto the skin until it soaks in and then develops. Manual tanning has made a big come from in recent times. Whilst previously it was all about spray tanning treatments for numerous reasons: quickness of the treatment, even application and less product generally used. But with clients wanting  to come to the salon, or treatment area and enjoy a full treatment that involves them giving up an hour or so of their time. This has really helped the manual tan application see a big come back hit! From my experience of learning many moons ago the application of manual tanning before spray tan was even out there....I know myself, I wasn't too kee

Faceframe 3D Eyebrows: taking the beauty industry by storm!

Having done a lot of extensive research about brow extensions over the past few months. I came across this brand FaceFrame3D. What excited me the most was that they have won an invention award for the concept of this brow treatment. Plus it's a UK designed product. If, like me, you like to go for new treatments to add to your salon menus. This is definitely going to blow you and your clients away. I watched a couple of the YouTube videos and was hooked! I did look around at other brands and designs. But it kept coming right back to this company. The training is all fully accredited with BABTAC and therefore recognised within the industry. It's not the cheapest out there. But then I am not always sure that cheapest is best. You do definitely get what you pay for in this world. What is Faceframe3D?  It is a simple concept of applying synthetic individual hairs that are adhered to the skin to create a 3-dimensional eyebrow can last up to 2 weeks depending on the afterca

Failing to prepare, is to preparing to fail: GCSE VTCT Ten Recommendations

I wanted to put together a guidance list of the ten points that I have learnt along my journey teaching this GCSE qualification in order to help support, guide and assist anyone who is about to start teaching this qualification, considering teaching it, or is currently teaching it and needing some additional guidance from someone who has hands on experience. These are my own personal points and by no means set in stone. So please use them as they were intended to be, as a help list. PREPARE: Now I know this might sound a bit of an obvious point as teachers and educators we are always having to think two steps ahead. But by this I mean have your unit scenarios printed for each learner. Have spaces up on your displays so they can collect them if they have lost theirs (students do love to forget things). Have grade descriptors for the unit printed and if they have them glue them into their books so you can mark as you go along and the students know instantly what grade they are
