I wanted to share with you today one of my quick tanning application tricks that works well for fair to medium skin tones and is great for those of you out there, like me, just don't always have time to get your own spray tan or full manual application because we are just simply too busy.....or more importantly, too tired when we do get time
Firstly like all great tanning application the secret to it lasting well and fading evenly is great preparation of the skin, so a good all over body exfoliation in is order.
Product list:
Disposable gloves or a tanning mitt
Dark glowing Sienna X tan 8%
Body Moisturising Balm
I generally find that I am between a 6% and an 8% tan for this time of year. Sometimes 8% is a little too dark for my face and hands. Especially if you just want a little colour pick me up.
So start on my face and work down my body. You can apply this just to your desired area or all over. Depends how much time you have mainly? Pop on your gloves or tanning mitt and apply a 5p sized amount of dark glowing tan onto you hand and then the same amount of moisturising balm and rub your hands together to combine both creams.
Then apply as you would normally, I start on my forehead and work down to my neck and fade down to clavicle.
Basically keep doing the same application all over areas of the body adding more of the product depending on the areas you are working on. So for example on legs I would start with 50p sized amount and mix the same of the moisturising balm.
Once you have completed all those areas I then finish with my hands and feet adding more balm to these areas because I don't want them looking too dark.
You will find the application and overall tan is more subtle with a lovely pick me up glow.
Ideal after a full on week in the office, and ready to hit the town with the girls...or boys!
A quick tip if you get any on your palms or soles of the feet. Wash the tan off with COLD water not hot or warm. This will stop the DHA from activating as quickly.
What's lovely as well by using your moisturising balm mixed in with the tan it gives you an instant gold shimmer with the gold mica it contains so you will have a beautiful "illuminated goddess" about you.....who doesn't want that?!
Happy healthy tanning everyone : )
