Squiggle It...just a little bit!

Wave in the squiggle:
Recently we have seen the "squiggle" brow trend hit our social media with a...oh and a gasp! This followed on from the feather brow or the parted brow.
This trend is a weird one for me. I don`t personally see where this would be an attractive look other than in theatre, stage or TV. It does however, intrigue me to look into it as a trend and see what all the fuss is about.

Squiggle Brows:

This look, if you wanted to achieve it. Can be perfected by using washable PVA glue and applying to the brows in order to keep them in place and to get them in the direction you wish to achieve. Before applying make-up, concealers and setting with powder.
Not long after we were hit with the squiggle brow, came along the "squiggle lips". This to me is perfect for fun looks and creations such as Halloween. The look seems to stand out more with deep Autumn pigmented colours schemes that make more of a statement and make the squiggle shape "pop".
Hmmm, I think I am sitting on the fence with this one.

If brows and lips hasn't excited you enough, we now head over to the complete look and add in a "Squiggle eyeliner" to the mix.
Now this one, could be a nice effective look if added to a bold statemented eye make up, and a set of luscious lashes applied. This could actually work?? It doesn't look half as bad as the lips and brows, in my personal opinion.
I am finding it hard to get over the fact the lips look like very badly applied and heavy bleeding colour pigment. It brings a whole new meaning to me of "kissable lips".

Final Thoughts:

Its an interesting one....a trend I think works for the right situation, like most. But for me, I dont think I will be rushing out to apply my make-up like this.
I think I sit back, sip my coffee and wait for the next emerging trend to come along.
Happy squiggling...
Until next time

Fake Tanning: Manual V Spray

Firstly, just to clarify the differences between the two types of fake tanning. Manual tanning is applied directly onto and into the skin that has been prepared usually in a cream or lotion format and then is allowed to develop.Spray tan is applied using a compressor type air gun and is applied in a very fine mist in a liquid format and sits onto the skin until it soaks in and then develops. Manual tanning has made a big come from in recent times. Whilst previously it was all about spray tanning treatments for numerous reasons: quickness of the treatment, even application and less product generally used. But with clients wanting  to come to the salon, or treatment area and enjoy a full treatment that involves them giving up an hour or so of their time. This has really helped the manual tan application see a big come back hit! From my experience of learning many moons ago the application of manual tanning before spray tan was even out there....I know myself, I wasn't too kee...

Faceframe 3D Eyebrows: taking the beauty industry by storm!

Having done a lot of extensive research about brow extensions over the past few months. I came across this brand FaceFrame3D. What excited me the most was that they have won an invention award for the concept of this brow treatment. Plus it's a UK designed product. If, like me, you like to go for new treatments to add to your salon menus. This is definitely going to blow you and your clients away. I watched a couple of the YouTube videos and was hooked! I did look around at other brands and designs. But it kept coming right back to this company. The training is all fully accredited with BABTAC and therefore recognised within the industry. It's not the cheapest out there. But then I am not always sure that cheapest is best. You do definitely get what you pay for in this world. What is Faceframe3D?  It is a simple concept of applying synthetic individual hairs that are adhered to the skin to create a 3-dimensional eyebrow can last up to 2 weeks depending on the afterca...

Ten Common Myths You Need to Know About Nails

I am sure if we all sat round a table we could share a few of these common wives tales. Told to us by our parents, grandparents or siblings.Fact is most of them are just myths, legends, tales, lies. Call them what you must. But its time to lay down some facts about these myths, and set the record straight. Myth One: White spots or marks on your nails means you are lacking in calcium? FALSE It means you have caused trauma to your nail by knocking it or sometimes it can be if you bite your nails or put your fingers in your mouth a lot. It is nothing to do with lacking in calcium. It is amost like a little bruise. Myth Two: Green on the nails means you have fungus growing on them? FALSE Fungi is whitish  yellow in colour and not green. Green markings indicate mold on the nails. This is just like what you get in your bathrooms when moisture gets trapped along with a warm environment. This can often occur when nail enhancements have been on and lifted slightly. W...
